I spent years going from doctor to doctor to specialist.
It all started with haemorrhoids(hemorrhoids) not quite the hero's introduction I had in mind - but there you go.
In numbers, I've had 3 rounds of injections, 1 radio frequency procedure, 2 sigmoidoscopies, 1 colonoscopy, 1 rather interesting session with a biofeedback therapist, countless inspections and probings by a variety of doctors and specialists - and more banding than a 1980s rock festival.
(4 or 5 rounds of banding - I lost count)
Not one conversation in over 10 years properly addressed the cause.
The turning point came when I was rejected from donating plasma.
I Failed the heart rate test. I Failed the blood iron level test.
A low iron level can be caused by chronic bleeding.
I remember thinking: this has to stop !
I spent the next 3 years researching gut health and the gut microbiome properly. That frustration - and that research - eventually became
my book “GUTWISE – The Seret To Healing That Pain In The Arse”.
Somewhere in that research, I discovered that breathwork was the missing piece. Your diaphragm massages your gut, stimulates your vagus nerve, and activates rest and digest - all at once. That discovery led me to train under a 4x World Freediving Champion - Stig Severinsen and qualify as a certified breathwork instructor.
